this year's VEGETABLES

We will be growing a wide variety of vegetables this season, including several varieties you may have not seen or tasted before.  Others, like a beefsteak tomato, you may have tasted before, but only from a grocery store.

Our list of vegetables includes carrots, cucumbers, radish, turnips, parsnips, lettuce, basil, kale, salad greens, onions, sweet and hot peppers, tomatoes, onions, herbs, garlic, and fruit of watermelon and strawberries.

The season will begin with cold weather crops like lettuce, spinach, kale, radish, carrots, and as summer begins, more warm weather crops like tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, cucumbers and herbs will be part of the harvest.   Then, as the weather gets a little cooler in September, there will be a mix of both warm and cold weather crops.

If, as a CSA member you would like to have a certain variety of vegetable grown, we can do this, provided we have a source of seed and enough growing time in the season for the vegetable to become ripe.

Below are pictures of some of the vegetables and fruit we will be growing this season.
