I'm Jeff Hass, and with my sister Julie, we grew up on this farm in the 1970's and 1980's.  My uncle Lewie farmed soybeans and corn and we also had 20-30 head of Polled Hereford cattle.   During that time we studied gardening in 4-H and learned about plant science.
After our uncle Lewie passed away in 2011, we began looking at other ways of using our land to grow food.

In 2015 we grew pumpkins, and in 2016 also offered hayrides and let customers pick their own pumpkins.  This year, we will grow 3/4 acre of vegetables, and 1 acre of pumpkins.  We still have cows, but only 3-4 that can graze in the area around our barn.

In the future we'd like to expand into other areas, like fruit trees, berries, flowers and will try out new things each year and expand when appropriate.
